Amid a Sicily scarred by the Mafia, photographer, activist, and politician Letizia Battaglia (1935–2022) documented the raw reality of Palermo beginning in the 1970s. *Life, Love, and Death in Sicily* offers a comprehensive overview of her work and is now on view.
In this documentary, Yvonne Scholten chronicles eighty years of women’s resistance in Italy. The film depicts Italian women’s struggle for equal rights and continues to serve as a source of inspiration for the contemporary feminist movement.
