Are you working on a photo series—but finding it hard to shape your idea into a clear, compelling story? Join a two-day masterclass with internationally acclaimed photographer Lucas Foglia, whose work is on view at Fotomuseum Den Haag and published by outlets including The New York Times.

Foglia will guide you in developing a new or ongoing project—helping you translate abstract themes into specific, emotionally resonant images. Drawing from his long-term project Constant Bloom, which follows the longest migration of butterflies across borders, Foglia will offer tools to structure your story, ground it in research and lived experience, and strengthen your visual language.

This masterclass is for photography students and ambitious amateurs who want to make work that’s both visually strong and deeply meaningful.

Lucas Foglia’s newest book and exhibition, Constant Bloom, follows Painted Lady butterflies on the longest butterfly migration ever discovered, spanning Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Foglia’s photographs trace both the path of the butterflies and the people they encounter, offering an allegory for our delicate, interconnected, and resilient world.
